In celebration of the 33rd graduating class of the Chavón School of Design, we are proud to announce the opening of the final exhibition on Wednesday, May 10 at 7pm at the Altos de Chavón Gallery. The show represents a selection of work produced by the talented students of the Fine Arts department during their final spring semester, as well as a preview of work produced by the newly inaugurated Film department.
The ground floor will display a rich variety of pieces from the Printmaking, Photography, Illustration and Film departments. The second floor exhibits an eclectic mix of work from the thesis projects the Fine Arts students have been developing throughout their final semester. The thesis work is a culmination of the student’s research and studio practice that has produced a stunning variety of imagery created with a vast array of materials and expertise. The select works range from meticulously rendered portraits, furniture designed from repurposed materials, rich paintings and sculptures to experimental mixed media installations.
Please join us for the opening reception where you’ll be able to meet the extraordinarily talented Fine Arts students of the graduating class of 2017. The show will only be up until May 19. Don’t miss it!
