The businesses and organizations of the La Romana – Bayahibe area will join together again to clean up the beautiful “Isla Catalina” (Catalina Island), located just south of Casa de Campo and La Romana. With the support of local business and supporters who are providing boats – a group of volunteers will set sail for Catalina Island to clean it up! And you can take part too!

This activity being organised by the La Romana – Bayahibe Tourism Cluster, will involve at least 100 volunteers will be cleaning the coast by collecting garbage and other debris, as well as qualified divers who will help to clean the sea floor.

Last year, the clean-up exhibition collected 104 bags of garbage and rubbish – leaving the 2 areas free from debris, bottles, plastic, shoes and more!

The next clean-up mission is taking place this Sunday the 3th of March, 2013.
