Did anyone else see the morning’s mist? … Not sure if it’s the same for everyone but it has definitely felt like Christmas lately! Let’s welcome December with all this weekend’s activities, like: Flavors of the World Portugal at the Beach Club, Chinois’ Peruvian buffet with guest Chef Freddy Padovani, and enjoying the traditional Christmas performance by the Elizabeth P. de Zeller Ballet Academy. PLUS, we will all be able to finally catch a glimpse of the new place in town, Bar Monaco! Tomorrow they will host a soft opening in benefit of Fundación MIR.
The new place in town will transport us back to Monaco in the 1950’s. We will surround ourselves with style, fashion and acquire a new need for speed with Bar Monaco’s Formula One theme. This champagne bar will open its doors with the final touches currently being completed right now! Carlos Chapellin—Bar Monaco’s chef and partner – is putting the final touches on the molecular menu of international dishes which we’ll be able to sample tomorrow night as we enjoy music and cocktails.
What makes this soft opening even more exciting is that while we are discovering a new place in Altos de Chavón, we are also contributing to Fundación MIR. So jot this event into your schedule for tomorrow night and come see for yourself what it will reveal!
Where: Altos de Chavón
Soft Opening: December 2nd, 2016, 7:30pm to benefit the Fundación MIR

This holiday season we have several reasons for celebrating and places where we can do so. Bar Monaco is opening its doors to the public and giving Altos de Chavón a new place with a new concept that we can’t wait to see! Bar Monaco is bringing us style and fashion with the need for speed at the center of it all. With Formula One as the champagne bar’s theme, you will be able to learn more about the sport, its lifestyle and get to know the 21 Grand Prix destinations where it takes place. If you are not a Formula One expert yet, we will help you understand what it’s all about. We did our online research and here is what we found out.
The Magical Splendor for Life annual fundraising event hosted by Alfy and Raysa Fanjul brings people near and far to Casa de Campo’s resort gates. With a golf tournament that is always exceptionally well-attended and a dinner-dance party that includes a fashion show by internationally acclaimed designers, it’s no wonder guests mark their calendars in advance to attend.
