It is our absolute pleasure to announce that Carla Campos, our Managing Director, will soon be taking over the role of Chief Marketing Officer for the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (the island’s Tourism Board). While we are saddened to see her leave our team, it is with great pride that we will see her take on this new role as of February 1st. We have no doubt that she will make a tremendously positive impact on our neighboring island, her home country.
Carla Campos, who’s a Destination Management/Marketing Specialist has been working with SILGON since 2014. She came on board to fuse her Destination Management and Marketing expertise with our community-based approach looking to better reach Casa de Campo visitors wanting to enjoy this world-class resort. During her years with the company, her ability to see the big picture, manage the small details and take a holistic approach to generating results has been invaluable to us as we transitioned from a small publishing company, into a Texas-based international operation, now reaching almost 500,000 monthly readers across all of our channels. Thanks to her collaboration, we have spent the last two years putting into place amazing processes and team members needed to allow us to scale and grow the business.
Having worked so closely with Carla over the last few years I have come to respect her as a colleague, a visionary and staunch practicalist that is ready to put 110% of her energy into what she is passionate about.
Beyond our business partnership, we cherish her as a friend and part of our family. We will miss her terribly, but understand that this new role is the best thing for her future and we wish her the very best!
Puerto Rico, we could not think of anyone better to help take tourism to an exciting new level.
Philip, Rebecca, Theo, dear SILGON team and my Casa de Campo extended family:
Thank you for all the love, support and friendship you have showed me over the past two years. Living and working in Casa de Campo has been a true blessing and I cherish every second of it. I look forward to going back to Puerto Rico after almost 15 years abroad to do what I love: promoting sustainable economic development through tourism.
Casa de Campo, not to worry…Carla will to continue visit us here in Casa de Campo (her second home), and SILGON’s publications are in great hands. Our amazing Dominican Republic team will continue to make our print and online publications better with each article and each edition. We are as committed as ever to continue to bring you the best of how to LIVE, LOVE and PLAY in Casa. You can contact our team at [email protected] for publishing and advertising opportunities.
