In less than a month, on Saturday, September 16th, Yandel and CNCO are set to perform at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater for Casa de Campo’s end of the summer concert! The announcement didn’t come long after the sold out Wisin and Maluma concert, and people are waiting to see what this concert will bring!
Everybody knows of Yandel and his incredible career; beginning as a member of the very popular duo Wisin and Yandel back in 1998 and winning several awards during their time together, including a Grammy Award in 2009— the first and the only reggaeton artists to have won it. Next month, he’ll be releasing his new album, UpDate with the Sony Music Latin label.
CNCO is quickly rising in popularity thanks to their young audience appeal. The group emerged from Univisión’s musical competition, La Banda, which was executively-produced by Simon Cowell’s SYCO Entertainment, the global icon Ricky Martin, Univisión Communications Inc., and Haim Saban’s Saban Brands. Last week, the boy band dominated the 6th edition of Telemundo’s Premios Tu Mundo, winning as Best pop artist and favorite party-starting song with “Hey DJ” featuring Yandel. This surprised everybody since they went up against well-known artists such as Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, and even Luis Fonsi with his song “Despacito”! Both categories were presented by iHeartRadio; CNCO even won fan club of the year.
