Last Saturday the 16th of Januray a new art exhibit opened in the Altos de Chavon main art gallery in Casa de Campo and it was a great success, Herminio’s photos really are very beautiful and as always Casa de Campo’s art aficionados turned out in force to support the opening!

The exhibit was a collection of black and white photographs all with the common theme of horses. Although ‘horses’ or ‘equinos’ as the exhibit was called may seem like rather a narrow topic the display was surprisingly varied and very interesting. Herminio’s photographs are a collection taken over a long period of time (I’m not exactly sure how long, but lets just say it wasn’t the product of one weeks work,) all taken from different angles, viewpoints and all essentially inspired on a moment by moment basis! Such creativity and inspiration produced a really captivating collection of photos which i really feel captured the essence of the caballo.
