The Hogar del Niño Christmas Party – SMILES all round!!!
On Thursday the 17th of December the Hogar del Niño threw it’s annual Christmas Party and Casa de Campo Living were on hand to witness all the smiling faces!!!
The Hogar del Niño is a children’s day care centre which cares for over 1000 children daily; from 200 babies who need to be washed, fed and changed, up to 18 year olds who are being given a full education. The centre cares for all the children’s needs from food to clothes as well as education, health and dentist care!
At Christmas time, the Hogar del Niño asks each and every child what they would most like for Christmas, and it buys EXACTLY that for each and every child! These gifts are handed out during the Christmas party and so, as I’m sure you can imagine, there were big smiles all around!
It’s not just the children who receive gifts – the Hogar del Niño also thanks all it’s faithful workers with a big Christmas basket full with all the Christmas essentials!
Of course no party is complete without plenty of candy and there was definitely no shortage at this party! The candy had been generously donated by Casa de Campo’s ladies at the Christmas Cafe de La Leche which was hosted by Xiomara Menendez earlier this month in her wonderful Casa de Campo villa.
