MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! My guide to Christmas in Casa!

Rebecca

Dearest Casa de Campo Living readers,

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

This holiday season there is much merry making to be done and so many things to do here in Casa de Campo!
Here is my guide to all that’s going on – I’ll be out and about with my camera and Santa hat taking photos, so make sure you’re always ready for an impromptu photo session!

Today Dec 24th – Nochebuena

  • Special Christmas Eve menus at La Casita, Le Cirque and La Piazetta – full details here.
  • The NEW La Caña Restaurant and Lounge by Il Circo is open for dinner!  - reservations required.
  • 9 PM – 10 PM: Holiday Carols by the Coro Madrigalistas, under the direction of Professor Andres Capellan , at the Chavón Plaza
  • 10 PM: Catholic Mass, St. Stanislaus Church in Altos de Chavon followed by an Eggnog toast!

Tomorrow Dec 25th – CHRISTMAS DAY!

  • Special Christmas Day brunch/lunch menu at the Lago Grill: 9am-4pm
  • Casa de Campo Living Christmas drinks at the NEW La Caña Restaurant and Lounge – not a real ‘activity’ per se, but we’ll be there enjoying a cheeky Christmas drink! (After we’ve been to the Dominican Christmas Celebration in Chavon -see below, that sounds cool!)
  • 5:30 PM: Catholic Mass, St. Stanislaus Church, Altos de Chavon
  • 6:30 – 7 PM: Live Nativity. Bring the entire family to see this recreation of a
  • time in history that changed the world. It’s the birth of Jesus and the celebration of Christmas. Altos de Chavon.
  • 7 PM – 7:30 PM: Santa Arrives! He greets the children with holiday treats! Altos de Chavon.
  • 7 PM – 9 PM: Dominican Christmas Celebration. Slip on your dancing shoes and enjoy the holiday sounds of Grupo Faena as they play traditional Christmas merengue rhythms. Altos de Chavon
