Local resident Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster promotes the Walkabout foundation on Bloomberg

The Gonzalez-Bunster family have been popular Casa de Campo residents for many years, and have recently started their own Charity – The Walkabout Foundation.

The Walkabout Foundation, which was founded earlier this year was actually started by Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster, who now runs the charity full time. Carolina’s inspiration behind the charity is her brother Luis Gonzalez-Bunster, who was paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident in 1994, together they aim to spread the message across
continents and educate thousands of people on Spinal Cord Injury, and make a real financial
contribution in the fight against paralysis.

The question is no longer if we will find a cure but when.

Carolina Gonazalez-Bunster was recently filmed talking to Bloomberg news about the new charity and their recent fundraising exhibition; a grueling and symbolic 800 kilometer walk along the historical pilgrims’ route of the Camino of Santiago of Compostela, in Spain.
